[Stolas nibbles a little more on his cookie, enjoying the sweet nutty-fruit taste. He can agree that a bitter tea definitely works best with this and can already think of a half dozen teas he could also pair it with.

He might also be wondering if the 'cookie' might melt if put in the tea and be useful for sweetening it. But, perhaps he can try that another time.]

You would think it might be but, I think it works rather well.

[Admittedly, Stolas is also surprised their conversation has gone as well as it has. It's a relief but, also makes him a tiny bit wary. Things never go this well for him.]

Perhaps, we can think up a few dates to go on? I know there aren't any high end places to go to but, there is still plenty here we could do together.

[Even if it's simply just spending time in each other's company.]

[ Gods, he hadn't even thought of dates. ]

I would enjoy nothing more than to take you somewhere nice. But that also can have a number of meanings. And where we cannot find an establishment that suits, we'll just have to settle for making that for ourselves.

[ But surely there will be events. And if it is a matter of dressing up, they can do that much anyhow, no matter where it ends up being afterward. ]

Dining out seems to be the most obvious choice. A classic for a reason across many worlds.

Of course it is. Good food and better company? It's one of the best combinations ever thought up for dates. But, it's not a necessity considering we do have a fair amount of nature that can be the backdrop for an equally good time.

[Though, if an event that involving dressing up does happen, Stolas is there in his finest with Gold on his arm in a heartbeat. If there's a reason to show up and show off, he's there.]

[ Gold is somewhat relieved; his playbook is a little dated, to be certain, and he wouldn't know what to do if he couldn't lean on the more old-fashioned to start. ]

The best place to begin then. Tried and true first, then more adventurous when it feels right.

[ That's the whole point in taking things slow. ]

Precisely.

[That is exactly the entire point of taking it slow. Stolas doesn't want to mess this up so and if that means taking their time to really get to know one another, than he is willing to put in the effort.]

Which means we might wish to think about where to go on a date at some point. We are limited in eating out options.

With no pressure, of course. We already like spending time with each other.

[ But there is something more special about, just wanting to exist in the world with someone. Silly to say it's showing them off, but in a way, it is. ]

Hm.. you do have a point.

[There is definitely something special about just being around someone you like. Especially when it doesn't take some grand gesture to keep their attention or gifts or deals. It's just being with them that makes everything else so special.]

Perhaps we could have a few dates doing something we both like?

[ It makes the other things more special. But he does like being able to find those grand gestures. There are a lot of things here, though, that make the situation feel new and different, make him less certain what that even looks like now. ]

My thoughts exactly. Hardly a need for a special occasion. Though...I would like to find some.

I'm sure we can find the perfect special occasions to celebrate. I mean, if we manage to be together a year, then it would definitely count as a special occasion to celebrate.

[It's an example that Stolas is hoping may come true. They would see in a year..]

But, for a typical date, I'd be happy just going for a walk in the woods with you if we wanted to keep it very simple.

That, I think I can manage. [ Find a place to do a little stargazing, even. ]
